Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers give the greatest gift of all...the gift of self! Adult or teen volunteers are needed and appreciated in the following areas:

Third Floor Gallery Greeters:

Volunteer greeters are needed in the Main Library's Third Floor Gallery. Greeters allow the Third Floor Gallery exhibits to be open and accessible to all, even when Library staff are not available. Greeters are welcome to use this quiet time to read, study, sew, etc., while they volunteer.

Volunteer greeters are needed every day the Main Library is open, except Mondays. Adults interested in volunteering just three or more hours a month are encouraged to call 653-2745, ext. 103 or 104, and a volunteer application will be sent to you.

Books & Such Volunteers:

Books & Such, a bookstore located just inside the Main Library, is operated by the Friends of the Fairfield County District Library. Volunteers run the store and help keep the shelves stocked. All proceeds from Books & Such sales are used by the Friends of the Library to help fund activities and services at the Fairfield County District Library. Call 653-2745, ext. 103 or 104, to learn more.
