Obituary Daily Times
The OBT is a daily index of published obituaries. It is free, and usually has over 2,500 entries a day. The database has 7,064,593 entries at this time. It's important to know that the obituaries themselves are not available-just the source; included are the peron's name, the name of the paper that published the obituary, and the date of publication. The most recent entries are listed first. (The Eagle Gazette is not included). However, with the information available, the genealogist can contact the proper newspaper and have the right date on hand.
